Classic bike show. 2010
Our Son Roy has just heard that he has been awarded a specialist disabled flat in Exeter. We went to see it today (or one like it). His actual flat will not be completed until May, meanwhile he is still in the specialist Spinal unit in Salisbury (Wilts) Hospital.
Sue goes in for her Hip replacement on the 3rd of March (we hope), this will be her fourth appointment, she has had to cancel 3 with her broken Arm (starting to heal now) and just a fornight ago the Hosp cancelled because of a Stomach Virus in some wards. I have just been recalled for a fasting Diabetic blood test as the first one showed higher than should be Sugar levels. So Friday i go in to see the Diabetic Nurse for a telling off on diet etc, oops. All boring but now your up to date.
This post then is all about last weeks "Carol Nash Classic Motorcycle show". We attended on the Saturday of this great two day show. Pictures below.
This then is the main post, lots of bike pictures i'm afraid.

Joke of the day.
They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier.
Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules.
So, the husband left Glasgow and flew to Barcelona on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day.
The husband checked into the hotel.
There was a computer in his room, so he
decided to send an email to his wife.
However, he accidentally left out one letter in her email address, and without realizing his error, sent the email.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Blackpool , a widow had just returned home
from her husband's funeral.
He was a minister who died following a heart attack.
The widow decided to check her email expecting
messages from relatives
& friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted.
The widow's son rushed into the room, found his
mother on the floor,
and saw the computer screen which read:
To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I've Arrived
Date: October 16, 2009
I know you're surprised to hear from me.
They have computers here now and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones.
I've just arrived and have been checked in. I see
that everything has been prepared for your arrival
tomorrow.
Looking forward to seeing you then!
Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was
P.S.. F***ing hot down here!

Hope all works out for your son and his new flat he will be moving into in May.
Poor Sue, now a hip replacement. And her arm is just finally healing. Is she a diabetic to? I've heard things heal slowly for diabetics.
I know what you mean about boring stuff. LOL I got a shot in my left knee and I need to call and make an appointment to have my knees both x-rayed with their new digital machine. The shot in the knee caused my blood sugar to jump to 349. Next morning it was 328, then the next day 249, slowly kept going down until it was 118, but then I cheated and ate some sweets and today it was 139 after not eating anything from about midnight till 9am. It's time I go in for blood work, I've put if off and just recently switched doctors, since ours is moving in July to California. Didn't want to wait until the last minute to try to get in with the other doctor in his office, so we switched last month. Abe likes the new doctor, she's a lady, perhaps that's why. LOL
I go this coming Monday the 1st. of March for my 6 month check-up with the oncologist. Abe goes later in March to see his arthritis doctor, it seems about every two weeks one of us is going in for a check up of some sort. I guess that's all part of the aging process and it sucks, believe me. Plus it's BORING. LOL And it cost us $25.00 each time we see a doctor. Now I need to make an appointment to have my hearing aids checked, they seem to have a high pitch whistle and it drive me crazy.
Good luck to the both of you. Hope your blood sugar is ok. I'm suppose to watch my diet, but I don't watch it that closely. I don't have to take any pills for it. My Mother takes a pill and my Grandmother use to take insulin shots. So it does run in the family, same with deafness.
We don't realize how nice it is to have really good health until it starts going to pot.
Hi Sue and Bob ~~ Lots of shiny
motor-bikes. Sorry to hear of Sue's knee surgery in May. I hope all goes well for her. And I hope your sugar stabilizes and you are fighting fit again.
I am glad you enjoyed my post and the jokes. Take care. Regards, Merle.
Hi Bob, thanks for your concern about Ken. Yeah, his heart is not good, but the cardio. thinks he'll survive for a few more years. Ken also has diabetes (type 2), but no arthritis - lucky man, I tell him!
Gee you have so many bike shows over there!! Ken is in bed, but I'll drag him in here tomorrow night to check out your photos. Please tell Sue 'good luck' on March 3rd - hope the op. goes okay.
Liked that joke - wonder if there is any truth in it though? Emails do go astray!!
