Hi all, I've not been blogging just lately, there just doesn't seem enough hours in the day. Last week we put our Caravan away for the winter, it stays on site during Winter but the site closes from 1st Nov until March 1st, site fees have gone up, mainly due to the increase in VAT (bloody Government crooks) and the Electricity charge is extortionate at £3.50 per night, i didn't think landlords etc were supposed to make a profit out of services like Electric but nobody seems to have told them this !!!!.This will be our last year unless we win the lottery as ALL our savings have now gone.
I don't know about you but i hate the long dark Winter days and nights, particularly when its so wet and dreary, not much you can do in the Garden (especially as ours is small). Even trips out in the Car are not much fun when the Wipers are on and the Windows mist up as soon as you stop.
For the last few days Sue and i have been Spring cleaning, yea i know it ain't Spring but we have not done anything much around the house since the start of the Caravan season, 8 months ago!!! I said to my Daughter only yesterday that we always Hoover every February and November whether it needs doing or not !!!!!!! At least today has been fine (but cold) and i managed to get out and finish the Wooden rail from my back Garden up to our rear alley entrance, this job has only taken 2 years to complete.
We have to change our Car next year (doesn't time fly) so have been looking around for a replacement for our Citroen C4 grande Picasso VTR+, there is just so much room inside this car that i've not found anything (within our price range) to compare to it.The diesel fuel consumption at around the 50 mpg mark is good too, trouble is Citroen have made it beyond our reach at the moment with its pricing structure. Most nice Cars/MPV's/Estates that we like, need to have folding rear seats, although most that do, have them that fold against the back of the front row therefore losing lots of Luggage space, our Citroen rear seats (2 rows) both fold into the Floor giving us nearly 6 feet of flat floor.So search on i'm afraid.
