COME PLAY WITH ME ( ,FINALE).

There's Walter (Rob),Lyn and their dogs too,
They pitch by the lake because of the view,
He fishes all day in his little green tent,
Lyn wants some peace, so thats where he's sent.

There's a man in the bar with a beard to his knees,
Hair to his shoulders if you please,
A little drop of Guinness he's likes to take,
Still ends up as skinny as a rake.

A Local fisherman from just down the road,
Tells a few fibs , fact he tells a load,
He might as well use a cane and pin,
Cause in the contests he's never had a win.

Finally our era has called it a day,
Brian, Tom, Mary, Mat are all on their way,
They've been good to us over the years,
So drink a Toast and shed no tears.

THE END.

COME PLAY WITH ME (part three).

.READ PART ONE FIRST.

The family from hell are across the way ,
Who can you mean? I hear you say,
I mean that lot ,they make an awful din,
You hear the noise so you know their in,

Dad and mum are a mighty big pair,
Mum I think's got more than her share,
Poor old Dad had a nasty Op,
Musn't carry much when they do the shop,

Her E-Mail jokes can be a little blue,
Especially talking to Mary and you,
If you have'nt worked out who it is by now,
Her initials are P J, that'l get me in a row.

I suppose the kids are not too bad,
The teenage boy is a bit of a lad,
With the girls he likes to chat and talk,
Especially with their dogs to walk.

COME PLAY WITH ME (Part Two).

READ PART ONE FIRST.

The Westonion pair of Carol and Dell,
A fisherman he thinks , he is like hell,
His favourite trick is to nod and snooze,
Then most of his fish he does usually lose.

His wife Carol she's quite a lass,
At first seems a little upper class,
Around the garden she's known to walk,
Giving her plants a little pep talk.

There's Karen Pete and David too,
Pete's not the same as me and you,
The worlds against him so it seems
But most of it's really in his dreams.

Peters son David is so very keen,
Fishing all day he's often seen'
Trouble is he fishes only one way,
Should listen more to what others say.

We've a "Cabbie from Weston, and his wife,
He'se had a bad chest most of his life,
A smoke or three besides the lakes,
Between inhalers for goodness sakes.

COME PLAY WITH ME (part one ).

The playmates on our site are great,
Although there are a few I hate,
Most enjoy our social life,
Even with the "trouble and strife".

Now there's the Brummie from next door, (pictured)
Found him twice on the awning floor,
Could be "Booze" what a thing to say,
Just a tipple or two a day.

In the morning he's a sight to behold,
He has no teeth in so i'm told,
Beside his bed in a glass they stay,
Bren has to suffer that most of the day.

Dublin the Irish he's close by ,
Guinness please we've heard him cry,
A little Whisky he's been known to take,
Irish of course, for goodness sake.

OUR LATEST ADDITION

Today our new car we did get,
It has to be our best one yet,
The dear old Granny we put to rest,
And it didn't cost me my shirt and vest.

Today Sue and I picked up our new car a Ford focus C max from Exeter,Early impressions seem quite good on our first few trips. But i'm afraid it comes at the expense of the old Granny which we had grown quite fond of.Without the Motability system we could never afford a new car in a million years ,it enables us to get the type and model for our needs. It will get a bit of a run tomorrow, we're taking my eldest grandson Gavin and girlfriend Karen to the Airport. They'r going to scotland for a few days,(Lucky buggers).Brum brum see you soooooon.

AND THERE'S MORE.

There's Pam and Roy the're our big pair,
Talking of which we wont go there,
Cause Twiggy Pam is certainly not,
Because in her there's quite a lot.

My two grown up kids are Pamela and Roy, Pam lives in Malmesbury (Wilts) with husband Wayne ( see A traitor in our midst) and 2 youngest kids Thomas ,Zoe,the eldest two Gavin, Hayley have flown the nest now.
As you can tell by looking at my little ditty our "Little girl"ain't so little any more( 44EE I'm gonna get shot for that). Our ,son Roy who is divorced is based in Exmouth, but he spends most of his time on holiday. Pam's other assets are her biggest , she will always be there for you when you need her and she loves her work with the elderly.

A TRAITOR IN OUR MID'ST.

Our traffic wardens are full of glee,
Round all day booking you and me,
Loading bays ,Yellow lines are all alike,
They even chased my grandson on his bike.

I thought I might mention this touchy subject as my son in law has just joined this wonderful bunch of upstanding gentlemen,(and women).I must admit he did'nt ask my opinion first(blo...y good job really)So we're thinking of disowning him.Mind you the money aint arfe bad.Like the advert says i don't know how he sleeps at night, mind i'm hoping to share a few of his stories with you.HAPPY PARKING.

OUR SHARABANG

In deepest Devon a caravan we keep.
In fields of grass and cows and sheep.
We really love our little nest.
And this one is no doubt the best.

Our caravan is a 22ft 5 berth one, she is getting on a bit now but we have her how we like her.It is kept on a small friendly site midway between Combe Martin and Ilfracombe.Since first going there( camping then) 12 years ago, we have seen 2 owners and are about to meet new again.During this time we have met lots of new friends and share good times, plus a bit of mickey taking over the friendly fishing matches we have amongst ourselves, especially in the bar over a few beers. I'msure I will mention this again in future blogs, until then Carry on Campers and Hi-D- Hi..
